Independent Business Development Contractor (1099) - Ohio (Remote + Local Travel) (#GLHS09)Location: Ohio (Remote + Local Travel) Company: Greenlife Healthcare Staffing (GLHS) Work Type: Commission-Only | Independent ContractorAbout Greenlife Healthcare Staffing: Greenlife Healthcare Staffing (GLHS) is a national healthcare staffing firm supporting hospitals, health systems, clinics, and long-term care facilities with Permanent Placement, Travel, and Locums solutions. Position Overview:GLHS is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Independent Business Development Contractor (1099) to generate net-new healthcare facility relationships within an assigned territory. This role is front-end only: prospecting, discovery, qualification, and warm handoff. You will not recruit, contract, price, or manage accounts. Your responsibility is to turn cold or under-penetrated markets into GLHS-ready opportunities and transition them to internal teams for pensation:Commission only (1099) — no base, no benefits.Estimated annual commission earnings ($60,000 - $120,000)High earning potential tied to:Qualified opportunities createdResulting revenue generatedCommission terms defined in the 1099 contractor agreementSchedule & Work Style:Flexible, self-managed scheduleConsistent weekly prospecting and meetings expectedRemote work with local field travel as needed Requirements:Healthcare or B2B sales experience (hospital or health system sales strongly preferred).Proven success in new business development and prospecting.Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape in at least one target fortable in a commission-only, performance-based role.Able to work independently within a structured qualification and reporting framework.CRM or sales tracking experience preferred Skills:Strong outbound sales and discovery skills.Executive-level communication.Clear qualification and opportunity assessment.High professionalism and anized, disciplined follow-up and time managementWhat You’ll Represent:Permanent PlacementTravel StaffingLocums CoverageA compliant, national healthcare staffing partner with a mature delivery engineKey Responsibilities:Prospect and engage hospitals, health systems, clinics, and long-term care organizations within a defined territory.Secure conversations with decision-makers (CNO, CMO, COO, HR, Medical Directors, Procurement).Conduct structured discovery to uncover staffing gaps, timelines, and decision processes.Present a concise GLHS capabilities overview.Qualify opportunities to GLHS-ready status (Open requisitions, MSA/NDA discussions, scope or volume conversations).Schedule joint handoff calls with internal GLHS leaders to advance opportunities.Maintain light follow-up to keep GLHS top-of-mind.Log activity, notes, and next steps in GLHS-approved systems
