Candidates with interest, experience,education or training in the teaching of Introductory Statistics areespecially encouraged to apply. Courses are offered in Springfield, ILat our main campus, Medical District, and CACC locations as well asonline and at our Outreach Centers in Jacksonville, IL, Taylorville, ILand Litchfield, IL.The Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) district comprises all or partof 15 counties in central/central southern Illinois and covers 4,115square miles making it the largest geographic community college districtin the State of Illinois. The college's main campus is located inSpringfield, Illinois. LLCC serves approximately 17,000 individualsannually through credit and non-credit courses at its Springfieldcampus, as well as at education service area sites throughout thedistrict and online.Duties will include teaching 15 contact hours per semester of assignedclasses, preparing lessons and course syllabi; evaluating and assistingstudents; keeping accurate records of student performance (followinggrading procedures; providing students with timely feedback);maintaining office hours; participating in departmental/institutionaloperations and program review; creating a learning environment thatfosters student success; developing, integrating, evaluating andreviewing student learning outcomes in support of the College's ongoingaccreditation; and contributing to a collegial and collaborative workenvironment.The Math and Computer Science Department consists of a Dean, fourteenfull-time faculty members and one administrative assistant. Thedepartment offers the typical spread of two-year college courses aimedat supporting transfer and general education students.
