Summary: The Personal Trainer provides customized fitness programs that include education and guidance on cardiovascular exercise and resistance training, with general advice on proper food intake and supplementation. Responsibilities: Present the personal training program benefits to all members and demonstrate the value of these programsEvaluate member needs, assist and encourage members to achieve fitness goalsEnroll members into the personal training program and assist members with exercise programs specifically designed to their goals, making adjustments to the exercises as neededDemonstrate safe and effective exercises geared to the individual that have been approved by fitness certification agenciesEnsure club members understand how to correctly operate the weight resistance and cardiovascular equipmentRe-rack all weights and assist in maintaining a neat, organized and clean workout area by keeping the exterior surfaces of the equipment cleanFollow outlined protocol for all fitness programsAssist in club promotions where applicableEnter all training appointments in the Master Appointment book before serviceCall all potential and current clients to schedule and/or confirm appointmentsPerform Training Assessment appointments and work with clientele as assigned by Fitness CoordinatorSchedule Training Assessment appointments with membersMaintain client files in a neat and orderly fashion, and according to System protocolMaintain and keep triplicates neatly in blue binderWork a Saturday rotation depending on your level as a trainerTrainers may not accept payment for services or product outside of CHRISTUS payrollParticipate in all required meetings and training as required by CHRISTUSComply with safety, courtesy and dress policies of department (SEE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR DRESS CODE)Assist in implementing center, department, and System policies and proceduresCreate a presence among our members that will allow the member to approach the trainer with any questions and/or concerns about health and fitnessMaintain integrity and professionalism at all times, on or off the premisesBe creative and innovative when working with clientsBe available to participate in community eventsStay up-to-date on fitness information, exercises, workout programs, nutrition, supplements, etcBe held accountable for personal monthly goals and center/department goals Requirements: High School DiplomaBLS Work Schedule: PRN Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
