Description We are looking for a skilled and organized Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves providing essential support during a federal evidentiary hearing, including trial preparation and courtroom assistance. The position is project-based, offering flexible hours with potential increases during the hearing period. Responsibilities: u2022 Organize and maintain trial notebooks and exhibits to ensure seamless courtroom presentation. u2022 Print, prepare, and transport legal documents required for hearings. u2022 Offer direct in-person support during federal court proceedings. u2022 Ensure all courtroom materials are properly assembled and available on time. u2022 Adhere to federal court protocols while maintaining high standards of organization. u2022 Utilize personal equipment for remote preparation tasks. u2022 Complete pre-hearing preparation tasks remotely, ensuring readiness for courtroom activities. u2022 Handle confidential materials with care and discretion throughout the project Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on federal court or constitutional law cases. u2022 Availability to attend all scheduled court dates, including extended hours during hearings. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to stay organized under tight deadlines. u2022 Access to reliable technology for completing remote tasks efficiently. u2022 Flexibility to adapt to shifting schedules and manage ambiguity in document sources. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality. u2022 Familiarity with trial preparation tasks such as creating trial notebooks and exhibits.
