General Production Worker

Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking dedicated and diligent individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. This position offers a choice of two shifts: Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:30pm or Monday-Friday 8:00pm-4:30am. As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in the packaging process and ensure the highest quality of our products. Responsibilities + Load cheese for packaging machines onto conveyors. + Remove cheese from brine cages. + Stack cheese boxes on pallets neatly, ensuring finished goods pallets fit into cooler racks without damage. + Construct boxes and pack products into them. + Remove packaging material from rejected cheese and prepare cheese for repackaging. + Inspect products and packaging for foreign material and imperfections; segregate suspect products and rerun through metal detector if needed. + Document vat numbers and inform supervisors of any issues. + Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain plant equipment. + Keep work areas neat and orderly. + Assist in other production areas as required. + Participate in the training of new personnel. + Minimize water usage and wastewater generation within the scope of the position. + Follow all safety policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in line with corporate and regulatory food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Essential Skills + Ability to perform general production tasks and operate machinery. + Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication. + Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. + Capability to carry out instructions accurately. + Physical ability for labor and lifting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED preferred. + No prior experience required. + Experience with hand tools, assembly, and inspection is a plus. + Familiarity with cleanroom practices.
