Overview We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) within electronics manufacturing, PCB fabrication/assembly, and supplier performance management. This role is responsible for ensuring that all external suppliers meet quality, reliability, and compliance standards required for highu2011performance electronic products. The ideal candidate has handsu2011on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection, rootu2011cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a fastu2011paced manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier Quality & Performance Management + Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers for PCB fabrication, PCB assembly, electronic components, and electromechanical parts. + Track and analyze supplier performance metrics (PPM, onu2011time delivery, defect trends, audit findings). + Lead supplier business reviews and drive corrective action plans to improve quality and delivery performance. + Conduct supplier audits (process, product, and system audits) to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal requirements. Quality Engineering & Compliance + Perform and review AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI) for PCB assemblies, electronic components, and mechanical parts. + Ensure supplier adherence to IPC standards (IPCu2011Au2011600, IPCu2011Au2011610, IPCu20116012, etc.). + Review supplier PPAP/FAI packages, control plans, and process documentation. + Support incoming inspection processes and resolve nonu2011conformances with suppliers. Technical Problem Solving + Lead rootu2011cause analysis (5u2011Why, Fishbone, 8D) for supplieru2011related defects and systemic issues. + Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions. + Support design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews with PCB and electronics suppliers. Continuous Improvement + Identify opportunities to improve supplier processes, reduce defects, and strengthen quality controls. + Drive implementation of quality improvement initiatives across the supply base. + Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring supplier readiness and capability. Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. + 5-10 years of experience in supplier quality engineering within electronics, PCB manufacturing, or electronic assemblies. + Strong working knowledge of AS9102 and experience performing or reviewing First Article Inspections. + Familiarity with IPC standards (IPCu2011Au2011600/610/6012). + Experience with supplier audits, corrective action management, and quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100 preferred). + Proficiency with rootu2011cause analysis tools (8D, 5u2011Why, FMEA). + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and PCB documentation. + Excellent communication and supplieru2011relationship management skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lititz, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.34 - $50.00/hr.
