As a CTO of Life Sciences here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the engineering function within the company. You will be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical leadership, and operational oversight to the engineering teams. The Sr Director of Engineering will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, ensure product quality, and achieve business objectives. You will report directly to our CTO of Connected HPS & Cyber and you will work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule. Your strategic leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the company's success, reputation, and growth in the industry. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Collaborate with C-level executives to shape and execute the overall technology strategy of the organization. + Provide strategic direction for technology investments, ensuring alignment with business objectives. + Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the entire software engineering organization. + Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts with other business functions. + Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering function + Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects + Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives + Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements + Manage and optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity + Lead and develop a high performing engineering team **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. + 8 or more years of experience leading large, complex software development projects and teams. + Strong proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python) + Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines. + Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles. + Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization. **WE VALUE** + Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field. + Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members. + Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. + Passion for innovation and continuous learning. + Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capability.
