How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Senior Data Scientist, Predictive Engineering willhelp advance the engineering and maintenance organization through theapplication of innovative and robust analytical and modeling solutions aimed atderiving insights from complex aircraft mechanical performance data. Theseinclude, but are not limited to, the application of machine learning techniqueson both aircraft operational and maintenance data aimed at identifyingprecursors to component degradation across the entire aircraft. Analyses mayalso include cross-skill partnerships for the development of risk metrics, keyperformance indicators leveraging large textual data repositories, and developmentof visual tools using business intelligence solutions. An appropriate candidate will have hands-on experience innatural language processing, machine learning, statistical analysis, and datastorytelling. The candidate should also have good organizational andcommunication skills. Primary Functions: + Develop machine learning models and advanced analyticssolutions for complex business problems in the engineering, predictivemaintenance, and aircraft reliability space + Make appropriate selection, utilization, andinterpretation of advanced analytics methodologies + Participate in continuous improvement of data science bydeveloping replicable solutions and well documented models + Seek further knowledge on key developments within datascience and related fields + Provide technical education on advanced analytics to thedata science community + Clearly communicate impacts of the recommended analyticssolution to business partners to drive adoption and implementation What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Doctoral degree preferred) + 3-5 years of work experience in advanced analytics and data science + Working knowledge of GIT for code management + Handsu2011on experience developing, training, and deploying models using Tensorflow and/or Pytorch + Extensive experience in regression analysis including, but not limited to, linear regression, Logistic regression. Able to explain and quantify regression results + Significant experience in developing neural network, decision tree, random forest, and LSTM models + Good written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills + Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills + Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles + Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority + (For internal applicants) must be performing satisfactorily in present position + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Experience with AWS services for scalable Data Science development (e.g., Sagemaker, S3, Bedrock) or equivalent cloud services including Palantir Foundry + Familiarization with API consumption and orchestration pipelines + Knowledge of transformer architecture and current landscape of LLM + Strong proficiency in Python , including pandas, scikitu2011learn, NumPy, SciPy, and MLflow or similar tools. + Experience with SQL and largeu2011scale data querying + Experience with timeseries data modeling, anomaly detection + Experience in using GE Aerospace EMS (Event Measurement System) application Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep Climbing Our culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values u2013 Care, Integrity, Resilience and Servant Leadership u2013 every day, in everything we do.
