Job Description

Overview The Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Engagement will lead the development and execution of integrated communication strategies that align with the companyu2019s strategic objectives and culture, enhance the companyu2019s reputation, strengthen its brand, and drive employee engagement. This individual will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and oversee all aspects of corporate communications including internal communications, executive communication, media relations, and public relations. Highly collaborative in nature, this position will collaborate closely with executive and cross-functional teams to ensure the communications strategy is impactful, engaging and connects employees to the companyu2019s strategic objectives and culture. Responsibilities u2022 Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that aligns with the organizationu2019s goals and objectives. u2022 Oversee internal communication initiatives that are aimed at enhancing employee engagement and ensuring alignment with corporate values. u2022 Act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on communication strategies and messaging. u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists and industry influencers. u2022 Lead strategies for public relations campaigns and manage media inquiries. u2022 Partner with HR and other departments to deliver effective messaging during organizational changes. u2022 Lead the development of crisis communication plans and ensure readiness for rapid response. u2022 Lead the planning and execution of the communication strategy for all employee town hall meetings and annual business meetings, working as an advisor to executive management and marketing. u2022 Oversee messaging, platforms such as the corporate intranet and various corporate campaigns. u2022 Monitor and analyze public perception of the companyu2019s brand. u2022 Develop strategies to enhance and protect the companyu2019s reputation across all stakeholders. u2022 Establish KPIu2019s to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns. u2022 Provide regular reports and insights to the executive leadership team. u2022 Collaborates cross-functionally with departments including human resources, investor relations, legal, finance, marketing, IT and senior management. Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred u2022 Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. u2022 Proven experience in serving as a company spokesperson. u2022 Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans. u2022 Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities. u2022 Track record of successful cross-collaboration and driving alignment. u2022 Strong analytical skills to measure and report on the impact of communication initiatives. u2022Competencies: Strategic Vision, Project Management, Adaptability, Professionalism, Exceptional Written and Verbal Communications, Creativity, Innovative, Presentation skills, Teamwork & Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Self-Starter, Problem Solving, Organizational skills u2022Working Conditions: May require periodic evening and/or weekend activity to meet company deadlines and/or satisfy peak project workloads. Periodic overnight travel. This is a hybrid role based in Xerisu2019 Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for bonus and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
