Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Grossing Technician for a pharmaceutical/animal health organization. Pay Rate Ranges: + Level 2: $25.70 u2013 $ 35.00/hr + Level 3: $28.50 u2013 $ 38.00/hr Summary Grossing Technician Level 2: Responsible for performing routine laboratory tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of animal health conditions. Key responsibilities include grossing and dissecting samples, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate records. This role supports the Global Diagnostics division and works closely with internal veterinary pathologists and other laboratory personnel to ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy in diagnostic services. Grossing Technician Level 3: Acts as a subject matter expert within the department, performing both routine and complex laboratory tests to support animal health diagnostics. Responsibilities include grossing and dissecting specimens, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining precise records. This role also supports the Global Diagnostics division and collaborates closely with veterinary pathologists and other lab personnel to uphold quality and accuracy standards. Responsibilities (Level 2 and 3) + Independently gross and dissect simple, complex Level 1, panel, and complex Level 2 specimens. + Accurately label and document all specimens. + Follow established protocols (SOPs) for tissue fixation and handling. + Maintain detailed records of specimen handling. + Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment. + Handle and store biological specimens according to standard operating procedures. + Properly handle and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste in compliance with regulatory guidelines. + Consistently complete laboratory logs, including maintenance, environmental, and cleaning logs. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace. Additional Responsibilities for Level 3: + Perform necropsy cases for further analysis. + Conduct complex dissections of specimens, including rare or challenging cases. + Take a leadership role in specimen grossing, overseeing multiple case types per day. + Assist in training lower-level grossing technicians and aides. Education and Experience + Associateu2019s degree or equivalent required; Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. + Experience Requirements: + Level 2: 2+ years in a pathology laboratory setting, including basic grossing operations. + Level 3: 3+ years in a pathology laboratory setting with advanced grossing experience. + Veterinary pathology experience strongly preferred, but other relevant laboratory experience will be considered. + High level of understanding of anatomy and grossing protocols. Technical Skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, etc.) + Strong attention to detail + Proficiency with laboratory equipment and software + Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Excellent organizational and time management abilities + Strong data entry skills with minimal supervision + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Fluency in English Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
