SummaryJob Description:Full Time 40 weekly hours, day shiftThe Laboratory at Baptist Health Louisville provides both clinical and pathology services with a staff of 121 employees who perform approximately 3.5 million tests a year. The staff is comprised of a group of registered medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians, laboratory aides, phlebotomists, histotechnologists, and transcriptionists. There are 4 pathologists who oversee the technical departments and provide surgical pathology services to the hospital. The Laboratory consisting of Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Pathology and Histology is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Job Summary:Draws blood by capillary or venipuncture, labels tubes properly, and delivers tubes to Lab according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure.Maintains Order Monitor and organizes workload with phlebotomy staff and other applicable hospital personnel.Performs Front Office responsibilities; processes extra tubes including centrifuging and proper storage.
