Permanent Shift: First Hours PerWeek: 40 Work Hours (From - To): 6:00am-2:30pm Pay Range: $50-$60 Isthere a New Hire probation Period? 90 Day Pay Extras: Bonuses JobDescription/Duties: The Base Building Facilities Engineer is responsiblefor operating, maintaining, and optimizing core building systems thatsupport life science and laboratory environments. This role ensures thatcritical infrastructure?including HVAC, utilities, controls, andlife-safety systems?performs reliably to meet stringent environmental,regulatory, and research requirements. Building Systems Operations &Maintenance ? Oversee daily operation of base-building systemsincluding: ? Air handling units (AHUs) ? Exhaust and supply fans ?Chilled water & hot water systems ? Boilers and steam systems ? Buildingautomation systems (BAS/BMS) ? Emergency power, UPS, and electricaldistribution ? Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, andtroubleshooting. ? Maintain proper temperature, humidity, pressurerelationships, and air exchange rates to support lab and buildingrequirements. Vendor & Project Coordination ? Coordinate work withcontractors, TAB firms, controls integrators, and OEM service providers.? Provide technical oversight for repairs, retrofits, shutdowns, utilityoutages, and upgrades. ? Support capital project planning, designreview, and commissioning of new equipment or infrastructure. BuildingAutomation & Controls ? Perform BAS point checks, troubleshooting, trendanalysis, and optimization. ? Work with controls teams to adjustsequences, alarms, and energy-efficiency settings. ? Maintain alarmresponse procedures and support root-cause investigations. EmergencyResponse & On-Call Duty ? Respond to building alarms, power events,utility failures, and critical equipment issues. ? Participate inon-call rotations as needed to support 24/7 operations. Required Amountof Experience: 3?7 years experience in facilities engineering, buildingoperations, or HVAC/controls, ideally in life science or laboratoryenvironments. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical,electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems and BAS/BMS platforms. ? Ability toread mechanical drawings, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, and specifications.? Experience supporting labs, cleanrooms, fume hoods, or regulatedenvironments. Is U.S. Citizenship Required? Yes Is there a minimum agerequirement, based on applicable laws?
