Additional benefits are listed at the end of this posting. u00a0 Principal Duties and Responsibilities: + Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support to maintain building systems and infrastructure integrity and availability + Monitor and maintain all building and mission critical facilities equipment + Operate facility equipment in accordance with policies and procedures + Perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-throughs supporting data center and office operations + Perform tests and rounds, analyze data to ensure proper functioning and operating parameters + Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment to ensure efficient operation + Assist with preparation of methods of procedure (MOPs) as directed + Provide technical expertise and assistance + Operate site facility equipment and systems without error to maximize availability + Suggest continuous improvements in process and cost savings + Coordinate maintenance with outside vendors and oversee vendor maintenance + Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns + Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rules and safety procedures + Ensure Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer receive timely verbal and written operating reports about building systems and preventative maintenance + Provide training within their expertise to other technicians as required + Encourage, train, and evaluate Apprentice's technical and behavioral skills; set professional example + Manage subcontractors ensuring scope compliance and quality of services + Ensure compliance with established MOPs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) + Work overtime as assigned and required + Be familiar with applicable federal, state, and local rules, codes, and regulations + Interact effectively with internal and external customers Required Qualifications: + At least one (1) year experience supporting mission critical environments Current electrical Journeyman's license + Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in area of non-expertise (e.g., electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice versa) + Ability to operate and perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems + Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications Additional Benefits:u00a0Paid Vacation, Select Holidays, Overtime Opportunities, On-site Facilities & Career Development Opportunities.u00a0 The people who thrive most at WGNSTAR are those individuals who perform well in a team environment, enjoy interacting and engaging with several different stakeholders, and adapt quickly to changing environments, whileu00a0leveragingu00a0their skills, quality, and knowledge to drive themselves and their teams towards continuous improvement and success.u00a0 This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
