Martin and Son is a diversified construction company specializing in commercial and residential flooring, glass and glazing, walls and ceilings, commercial doors and hardware, and millwork and fixture installation. Project Manager Position Description: We are seeking a commercial drywall Project Manager for steel studs, drywall, and taping. The position would be within our Walls & Ceilings team. Project Manager Principal Responsibilities: + Works closely with the architect/engineer of the customer + Coordinates estimating, scheduling, and safety efforts + Conducts pre-bid meetings + Directs value engineering + Pre-qualifies subcontractors and suppliers + Monitors purchasing + Maintains regular communication with the field + Provides status reports to team + Approves and submits monthly pay requests of subcontractors and suppliers + Partners with Project Coordinator to provide ongoing and accessible support + Responds to requests for information and presents cost adjustments Other Duties As Assigned: Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the business. Experience/Education Required: + Experience installing drywall, steel studs, and acoustical ceilings is preferred, but not required + Ability to quickly learn how to read a spec and finish schedule and transfer it to a competitive bid + Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe + On Center Software, and Quick Bid knowledge preferred, but not required + Associate degree in construction, architectural design, or other related area of focus is preferred, but not required + Must be organized, have attention to detail, and portray a sense of urgency related to completing duties Conditions of Employment: Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.
