Job Purpose Manufactures various cake products in accordance with designated specifications; performs various job tasks of a repetitive nature in accordance with product type and production requirements; conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy. Essential Functions u2022 Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies u2022 Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices u2022 Maintains regular throughput of product to the production line u2022 Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis u2022 Understands product specification and makes routine checks to verify equipment performance; adjusts equipment as needed. u2022 Monitors equipment performance and reports damaged or faulty equipment to supervisor o Operates batter depositors and various continuous mixing systems o Operates automatic oven loading equipment; loads and unloads oven manually as required u2022 Inspects pans for cleanliness and notifies supervisor when deficiencies are observed o Palletizes pans as directed o Monitors proper operation of pan greasing unit by maintaining proper grease levels o Inspects pans for proper grease coverage u2022 Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements. u2022 Back up for this position is other Bakers, Sr. Bakers and Baking Lead u2022 Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications (Education/Experience) u2022 High School diploma or equivalent o Basic Math skills o Must be able to read and write English o Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun u2022 Demonstrates manual dexterity o Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using both hands, frequent bending/stooping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 100 lbs. u2022 Ability to work over 40 hours per week & 8 hours per day - ability to work overtime is required u2022 Must be able to stand for a full shift u2022 Must be able to work in a hot environment u2022 Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
