JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities What you will do: Serve as the leaddesigner for municipal airport engineering projects, applying soundjudgment and technical expertise to deliver safe, cost-effective, andcompliant solutions. Coordinate with internal teams, clients,contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and clearcommunication throughout all project phases. Prepare and certifyconstruction documents, engineering reports, and design plans inaccordance with FAA, state, and local standards. Conduct and overseefield investigations, site inspections, and construction observation toverify conformance with project specifications and quality standards.Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and modelingsoftware to complete calculations, analyze data, and support projectdesign. Support proposal development, project scoping, and costestimating efforts under the guidance of senior engineers or projectmanagers. Mentor junior staff and direct the work of technicians anddrafters involved in design and document preparation. Identify andimplement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiencyand overall technical performance. Qualifications Education Bachelor'sdegree in an engineering field relevant to the job responsibilities.Experience Minimum of 4 years of relevant post-graduate engineeringexperience; or 2 years of experience for candidates holding a master'sdegree in a related engineering field. Required Knowledge and Skills PElicense in WI required. Solid understanding of engineering principles,practices, methodologies, and techniques. Proficiency in digital toolssuch as Microsoft Office and, depending on the role, GIS, BIM, and/orCADD. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well-developedinterpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members andclients. Creative problem-solving ability to address complex andunfamiliar challenges. Capacity to manage multiple projects or taskssimultaneously. Ability to work both independently and collaborativelyas part of a team.
