Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.Responsibilities We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our Ascension Data Science Institute (ADSI) - Commercial Pricing Actuarial Team. A key responsibility of this role is supporting the Ascension employee health plan through the development of forecasting models. The role is also responsible for being the subject matter expert on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace providing key insights on news and trends that may impact Ascension’s future revenue streams.This role is part of our Actuarial Rotation Program. The program is designed to provide meaningful professional development opportunities. Members of the program typically rotate every 2-3 years depending on team needs. Ascension also provides exam support for Actuarial students through work study time and exam pass salary raises.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAnalyzes data, assists in designing studies, authors effective communication, and generates recommendations with supporting documentation.Analyzes emerging experience to monitor medical & pharmacy cost trends and identify early signs of potential issues.Creates and maintains actuarial models and documentation.Produce reports and presentations that explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.Technological skills include experience with Excel and familiarity with another statistical, query, or programming language like SQL/BigQuery.Requirements Education:High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics0-2 Years experienceIdeal candidate has passed at least 2 actuarial exams, on the track to becoming an Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA)#ADSI #growth #LI-Remote #internalops
