AdventHealth East Orlando - 7727 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando, FL 32822Ensures equipment is in good working condition, contacts appropriate personnel for repairs, and adheres to infection control standards.Other duties as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge and skills for age-specific factors to perform safe and effective procedures on adult and geriatric patients. Manages daily operations, including scheduling, morale, and personnel issues, and works with Radiologist leaders to update exam protocols. Utilizes computer systems to maintain employee time and attendance records, research patient exams, and ensure proper charges and revenue capture. Meets with vendors and provides equipment recommendation to campus directors regarding modalities within their expertise. Participates in department satisfaction initiatives and utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate. Performs timely staff Performance Reviews annually where applicable. Manages budgetary goals and creates action plans for recovery when variances occur. Supervises staff to ensure quality exams and adherence to established protocols, providing counseling when necessary. Communicates clinical information to staff as requested by Radiologists. Supports and assists with data collection for performance improvements and encourages team participation in process improvement initiatives.Meets regularly with the System Director to discuss modality business and actively participates in assigned committees and team meetings.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Strong organization skills [Required] • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills [Required] • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff [Required] • Business software proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, PACS, and Cerner [Required] • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals [Required] • Performance improvement skills [Required] • Demonstrates leadership & teaching skills [Required] • Knowledge of Policies/Procedures/Protocols in one or more of the following: IR, XR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Ultrasound, Mammography or DXA, Procedural Imaging, or Imaging Nursing [Required] • Knowledge of equipment and vendors in one or more of the following: IR, XR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Ultrasound, Mammography or DXA [Required] • Ability to learn and master new tasks [Required] • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] • Ability to meet departmental goals and objectives, policies, procedures, budgets, and long-range plans relating to specific area of responsibility [Required] • Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner even under stressful conditions [Required] • Ability to handle stressful situations with anxious patients, employees, and customers [Required] • Computer skills in word processing and Email such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook [Preferred] Education: • Associate [Required] • Bachelor's [Preferred] Field of Study: • in Business or Healthcare related field Work Experience: • 1+ supervisory or leadership experience [Preferred] • 5+ experience as a xr, ct, mri, nuclear medicine/pet, mammography, dxa technologist or sonographer, or imaging nurse [Preferred] Additional Information: • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement. Preferred qualification for state of employment will be required.
