Billing Clerk

Description We are seeking a skilled Billing and Collections Specialist to provide exceptional support to our customers by managing billing inquiries, reconciling accounts, and driving timely collections efforts. This role requires strong attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to outstanding customer service. This role is a long term contract position based in Santa Barbara, CA, Key Responsibilities: + Respond promptly to customer billing inquiries via phone and email. + Work closely with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience during billing issue resolution. + Use Salesforce and Zuora to track and manage all customer interactions and inquiries. + Post customer payments accurately and on time. + Proactively identify and act on collection concerns to minimize risk. + Reconcile customer accounts, maintain accurate accounts receivable records, and ensure accounts remain current. + Conduct follow-up and collection efforts on all overdue accounts. + Support the invoicing process to guarantee timely and error-free billing for all customers. + Process bank deposits using desktop check deposit. + Partner with internal teams to reduce risk and continually enhance the customer experience. Required Qualifications: + Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service. + At least 2 years working in billing, accounting, collections, or cash application roles. + Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms. + Experience with Zuora or other billing systems preferred. + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Bacheloru2019s degree or equivalent work experience.
