Position SummaryThe Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing support in planning for and administering all employee relations and human resources activities for US Premier Tube Mills. The position will assist in several HR areas, including employee relations, benefits, and compensation. Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesAssists with administering compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and other HR related training.Works and coordinates Talent Acquisition processes for open roles, screens candidates, schedules interviews, and manages the onboarding processImplements new hire orientation and employee recognition programsHandles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisorsCoordinates with the Director of HR and EHS all ER issues, including disciplinary issues, terminations, and investigationsProvides HR policy guidance and interpretationPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, and recognition.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceWorks closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentio Assist managers with employee complaints and seeking solutionsAssist managers with workplace conflict management & employee misconductConduct Employer Vulnerability auditsConduct Employee pulse surveysWork closely with operations on HR initiativesPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Education and ExperienceAssociates degree in human resources OR a combination of education and experienceMinimum of two (2) years of HR experience Solid experience and understanding of HRIS, Benefits Enrollment, and other web-based systems; Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plusComputer Skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPointRequired Skills / AbilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsStrong customer support experience Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
