Position:Tax AssociateDepartment:TaxReporting to:Senior Manager, TaxFLSA Status:Exempt Location:Bentonville, AR, Denver, COWalton Enterprises isseekinga skilled, highlymotivatedand entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Tax Associate. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to prepare individual,partnershipand/or nonprofit tax returns under the supervision of an experienced tax manager.About the PositionAs a member of the Tax Department, the Tax Associate will support the preparation and review of tax filings across a wide range of entities, including individuals, trusts, partnerships, nonprofits, and private foundations. This role will gain exposure to complex, multi-generational family office tax work, providing an excellent foundation for growth within the team.What you will doThe Tax Associate contributes to compliance, research, and planning projects under the guidance of senior tax professionals. The roleassistswith return preparation, supports documentation and record management, and helpsidentifyplanning opportunities, while continuously building technical knowledge and professionalexpertise.ResponsibilitiesAssistin preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, pass-through entities, nonprofits, and foundations.Conduct tax research and prepare analysis to support compliance and planning.Assistin preparation of workpapers and filings across various statejurisdictions.Maintainaccuratetax records and supporting documentation.Collaborate with other departments to gather informationrequiredfor compliance and reporting.Support the identification of tax planning opportunities andassistin developing recommendations.Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Contribute to ad hoc tax-related projects and compliance initiatives.Participate in the preparation and review of 1099 filings and other annual compliance requirements.Support the Tax Department in delivering high-quality service to family clients and entities.Who we are lookingforSkills neededTax ComplianceTax ManagementTax Advisory and PlanningFinancial ReportingDetail AttentiveCommunicatingEffectivelyQualifications required for your successBachelor's degree in Accountingor related fieldMaster's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration or Juris Doctor preferredCPA certification or CPA exam eligible preferredPreviousexperience in tax accounting or related field preferredStrong knowledge of tax regulations and lawsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build andmaintainpositive clientrelationshipsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAttention to detail andaccuracyProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with tax preparation and tax research softwarePersonal attributes that support your successDemonstrates discretion, integrity, andexpertisewhile serving as a trusted advisor to principals and colleagues.Collaborates respectfully and effectively with others, contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.Approaches challenges with curiosity, bold thinking, and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.Maintains a strong focus on results, consistently exercising sound judgment and decision-making.Brings a visionary mindset, planning strategically for the future with imagination and insight.Committed to excellence and activelyengageswith others toaccomplishshared goals.All offers of employment are contingent on your successful completion (wherepermittedby state law) of a confidentiality agreement and background check.
