Infrared Scanner

The Field Service Technician - Electrical Testing will be responsible for performing electrical testing, maintenance, and repair services on electrical distribution systems and equipment. The technician will work with a team of professionals to ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Shermco Industries is seeking an Infrared ScannerPerform infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems.Analyze thermal images to identify anomalies or potential failuresPrepare detailed inspection reports using company templates, clearly documenting findings and recommendations for corrective actionRepresent the company professionally on-site as the primary customer interfaceCommunicate effectively with internal teams and customer personnel to ensure clarity and accuracy of inspection resultsComplete administrative duties in a timely manner, including time tracking, expense reporting, and travel arrangementsMay also support building energy audits and assist with cataloging customers’ electrical and mechanical assetsBasic electrical knowledge and strong mechanical aptitudeExperience usingFLIR software platformsThermography certification and experience as an infrared thermographerMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodationsShould be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when requiredMust be able to stay Drug-Free; you will be required to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.Must have an acceptable pre-employment criminal background check.Must be physically fit to to crawl, climb, stand, walk and lift up to 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations.Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam.Must have a valid driver’s license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays and nights.Must not currently or in the future require sponsorship to work in the U.S.Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluentlyMust be willing to travel; minimum 40%.All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACEShermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
