A premier, high-volume resort is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to lead banquet operations for conferences, meetings, and social events. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to execute multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high service standards.Benefits and Compensation:Generous paid time offMedical, dental, and visionLife insurance and long-term disability401(k) with matchHotel perks and discountsOpportunities for continued growth and developmentKey Responsibilities:Lead banquet execution for meetings, conferences, and social events (setup, service flow, breakdown, and service recovery)Manage banquet staffing plans and daily coverage; ensure teams are properly positioned for event loadHire, onboard, train, coach, and performance-manage supervisors/captains and hourly banquet staffPartner closely with Catering/Conference Services and Culinary to ensure accurate BEO execution and smooth client experienceMaintain safety, sanitation, and compliance standards in a high-activity event environmentIdentify operational gaps and implement improvements that increase consistency, reliability, and team performanceJob Requirements and Qualifications:5+ years of progressive banquet/event operations experience in a hotel/resort, conference center, casino, or comparable venue2+ years in a banquet leadership role with direct accountability for staffing, training, and execution standardsProven experience leading multiple concurrent events and large-format functionsDemonstrated ability to build reliable teams (coverage, engagement, accountability, and retention)Strong judgment, calm under pressure, and a hands-on leadership styleComfortable working on-site in a role that requires mobility and oversight of active event setups/breakdowns
