Medical Biller/Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Blue Ash, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of provider charges, overseeing billing processes, and supporting collections efforts in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: u2022 Verify and input provider charges accurately into billing systems to ensure proper invoicing. u2022 Manage medical billing processes, including claim submissions and payment tracking. u2022 Address denied claims by identifying issues and initiating appeals to secure reimbursement. u2022 Monitor collections efforts and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments. u2022 Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate records. u2022 Utilize medical billing software effectively to streamline operations and improve efficiency. u2022 Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and billing practices. u2022 Prepare and analyze reports related to billing and collections to identify trends and areas for improvement. u2022 Communicate with patients and insurance representatives to clarify billing inquiries. u2022 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital and physician billing practices. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in medical billing, including hospital or physician billing. u2022 Strong understanding of medical collections processes and best practices. u2022 Ability to manage denied claims and appeals effectively. u2022 Familiarity with medical billing software and systems. u2022 Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and providers. u2022 Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks. u2022 Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
