Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will play a critical role by representing our organization at supplier manufacturing facilities. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring product launch success and maintaining current model quality. You are empowered to make important quality decisions and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant. Responsibilities + Support Parts Supply and Logistics (PS&L) suppliers, quality processes, metrics, and systems. + Drive and manage the development of suppliers to Q1 performance levels according to our standards. + Take a leadership role to drive quality process improvements with parts packagers and suppliers globally. + Support the development of a global quality metric scorecard for customer service division suppliers, quality inspection, and parts. + Contribute to the development of processes, documentation, and training. + Provide expertise in statistical analysis, production and manufacturing, systems controls, process and assembly, and measurement systems analysis. + Manage supplier relationships and data tracking. + Support supplier capacity studies and global PS&L quality competency. + Participate in special projects and process improvements. + Support STA and departmental metrics such as Q1, PPAP, Reject Rate, PPM, MSA, and Standards compliance (ISO, IATF, etc.). Essential Skills + Supplier Quality Engineering. + APQP and PPAP processes. + Launch product and warranty analysis. + Capacity planning and lean manufacturing. + Experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in support of current model production parts for an OEM. + Strong analytical problem-solving skills. + Strong program management and computer skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum of 1 year experience working within a Supplier Quality capacity. + Bachelor's degree in engineering. Work Environment This is a hybrid role, with remote work on Fridays and in-office work from Monday to Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of DEARBORN, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.68 - $34.68/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
