FTE: 0.50 (20hrs) Shift: Shift 2 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm, everyTuesday-Wednesday-Thursday. Shared On-Call responsibilities with otherMRI technologists, approximately one night/week. On-Callresponsibilities, approximately every fourth or fifth weekend (4:30 pmFriday - 6:00 am Monday). Easy accessto northern Wisconsin and proximity to larger cities. Job Summary:Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversightof a senior MRI Technologist. This individual interacts with imagingstaff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors. Acts as a resourceperson for MRI technical, and other issues, and demonstrates competenceaccording to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRIand related equipment, prepares scan room - equipment, supplies andmedications. This individual also maintains images and archivesassociated with patient data. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: One to three years of experience is preferred. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Graduate of an JCERT approved two-year or four-yearradiologic technology, nuclear medicine program, or MRI program isrequired. Two or four year college degree in radiologic technology,healthcare, business or other related degree is preferred. TRAININGDESCRIPTION: Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class isrequired. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability and demonstratedcompetence in IV insertion and contrast injection; ability to assimilatenew procedures into work routine is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:ARRT registered is required. Advanced certification through ARRT inARRT-MR is required within 18 months of hire. BCLS certified within 90days of hire date. State of WI license in Radiologic Technology ifincumbent performs CT, general radiography or any other imaging usingionizing radiation; if practice is limited to MRI and/or Ultrasound, nostate license is required.
