Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures, ensuring all items are functional and readily available. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. u2022 Basic skills related to aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation. u2022 Up-to-date knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry. u2022 Knowledge of regulatory requirements and local, state, and national laws. u2022 Ability to understand and process dictated instructions and directions.
