This position is vital to supporting the day-to-day operations of the Resuscitation SimulationDepartment.This is a PRN position. A caregiver in this role works7:30am to 4:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Reserve and organize classrooms and equipment to conduct scheduled classes.Ensure instructors, equipment, classroominstructionand student ratios meet the standards set by the American Heart Association and Cleveland Clinic.Apply adult learning techniques.Adapt and develop training materials.Prepare and adapt lesson plans based on American Heart Association curriculum and principles struct and impart information in an interactive participativemannereliciting frequent responses.Select and use audiovisual hardware and software to reinforce learning.Evaluate and document classroom and laboratory reaction and learning of traineesutilizingthe program and state approved formats.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Associate’s degree or equivalent licensure educationCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP)or Doctor of Medicine (MD)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red CrossFour years of experience as a Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red CrossStrong delegation, planning,organizationaland teaching skillsAbility to gain cooperation, manageconflictanddemonstrateempathyTakes initiative and is self-directed andresult orientedPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor’s degreeTwoyears of experience as an American Heart Associationinstructor in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)or Pediatric Life Support (PALS)OR the American Red CrossPhysical Requirements: A high degree of dexterity to produce documents on a PC.Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.Extensive sitting, standing and walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $30.00Maximum hourly: $30.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
