The position will be assigned stops to deliver foodservice products with a high level of service to customers. Commercial or professional driving experience preferred, but not required. Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT). All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Main Ingredients of the Job: u2022 Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis. u2022 Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries. u2022 Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles. u2022 Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location including going up and down stairs with product as necessary. u2022 Accurately record delivery information including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation. u2022 Responsible for the proper documentation and disposition for any return product. u2022 Communicate delivery- customer issues to proper authority (i.e., Customer Service, Territory Manager, Transportation Supervisor, etc.). u2022 Deliver product to each of the designated stops following the stop sequence provided for the day. u2022 Unload product safely and stage product in the space(s) designated by customer. u2022 Check invoice for complete delivery. Process paperwork and damaged merchandise if any. u2022 Collect payments if necessary. u2022 Monitor refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle on a consistent basis for safety; follow all safe food handling procedures. u2022 Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections such as monitoring fluid levels, tires, windshield wash and replenishing fuel. u2022 Other duties as assigned. No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driveru2019s license suspensions in the past three years. Must be able to pass DOT physical. + No commercial or professional driving experience required.
