In addition, you will: u2022 Assist in developing engine model capabilities, methodologies, processes and tools u2022 Provide support to engine development programs, conducting performance analysis simulations and optimization tasks u2022 Assist in developing model test protocols, calibration procedures and analysis methodologies u2022 Assist in supporting model architecture and workflow processes deployed throughout engine engineering VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position What Skills You Need u2022 Completed coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, dynamics, heat transfer, experimentation and measurement u2022 Completed 50% of required credit hours toward engineering degree u2022 Use of standard engineering software, including Matlab u2022 Good communication and team skills u2022 Pursuing a bacheloru2019s degree, ideally in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or any additional technical and relevant degrees may apply u2022 Ability to work 15-20 hours during the academic year u2022 Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester u2022 Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university u2022 Graduation date of May 2027 or later u2022 Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above u2022 Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa or Remote What Makes You Standout u2022 Use of GT-Power/ GT-Suite u2022 Completed coursework in internal combustion engines u2022 Engineering experience with internal combustion engines u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy u2022 Bachelor of Science engineering degree or higher Education Ideally you will be : u2022 A Full-time enrolled student in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
