The Department of Podiatry is seeking a third Surgical Podiatrist to join a high-volume, predominantly inpatient service dedicated to complex limb salvage at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). This position is designed for a mid-career podiatric surgeon who is deeply committed to limb preservation and thrives in a hospital-based environment managing advanced infections, critical limb ischemia, complex wounds, and urgent surgical pathology. This is not a traditional outpatient-focused practice. Rather, it is an inpatient-driven role embedded within a highly specialized multidisciplinary Limb Salvage service line, working in close collaboration with vascular surgery, infectious disease, internal medicine, plastic surgery, and other hospital-based teams. The position has been created in response to sustained growth and exceptional inpatient demand. The incoming surgical podiatrist will join two experienced podiatric surgeons and become an integral part of a robust, hospital-centered program devoted to high-acuity surgical care and advanced limb preservation.
