The Autism Spectrum Program Occupational Therapist positionincludes the implementation of occupational therapy for the AutismSpectrum Disorder Services as defined by Wisconsin Statutes at GHC-SCW.The Autism Spectrum Division Occupational Therapist will work under thesupervision of the Autism Spectrum Manager. Within this position, theOccupational Therapist will design and implement occupational therapyprograms for patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Therapist will berequired to integrate parent training into treatment plans for childrenand will provide strategies needed for optimal occupational performance.Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will be responsible forrecommending specialized equipment, environmental adaptations and accessto assistive technology as needed. This position will requireflexibility in availability to service a growing clientele and caseload.The Occupational Therapist will be part of the Autism Services Programand provide clinic-based treatment per department protocols. They willcomplete documentation in the electronic medical record in a timelymanner per department and organization protocols, and chart in a mannerthat Job Specific Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree inOccupational Therapy from an college or university program accredited bythe Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of theAmerican Occupational Therapy association required. Licensed by theState of Wisconsin to practice occupational therapy or demonstrateeligibility pending application. Certification by the National Board forCertification of Occupational Therapy. Minimum 3 years' clinicalexperience in providing occupational therapy treatment that infuses onlythe most up to date evidenced based practices for individuals withautism spectrum disorder preferred.
