JOB REQUIREMENTS: Role Summary Serve as a subjectmatter expert andpartner to Financial Representatives in the corporate, bank, andlargecase markets. You'll provide advanced case consultation, directenhancements to our executive benefits systems and processes, and coachpartners across the Field and Home Office to strengthen NorthwesternMutual's position in nonqualified executive benefits and largecase lifeinsurance.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesField sales & case supportProvide advanced technical expertise, advice, and guidance to FinancialRepresentatives serving corporate, bank, and largecase clients. Consultdirectly on cases with Financial Representatives, clients, andthirdparty advisors to maintain and grow NM's presence in executivebenefits and largecase life insurance. Produce customized, indepthillustrations based on thorough inquiry and evaluation of prospect andcase information. Conduct financial reviews of business clients toinform design recommendations.Subjectmatter & product leadership Serveas a recognized functional, technical, and product expert onnonqualified and qualified plans and life insurance in thecorporate/bank markets. Provide expertise to Home Office partners (e.g.,Advanced Planning, Marketing, Compliance) on complex cases, specialprojects, and new products. Stay current on market developments andlegal/regulatory changes affecting plan design, marketing, andsales.Systems & process ownership In partnership with CDX, drive thedesign, implementation, and continuous enhancement of systems supportingthe sales and service of nonqualified benefit plans. Direct development,enhancements, and maintenance of NGIS/NM Executive Benefit Software andrelated service support systems with CDX and Advanced MarketsOperations. Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial to negotiateunderwriting requirements and plan design for large nonqualifiedexecutive benefit cases. Use deep knowledge of Executive Benefits andrelated system software to assist IS with resolving complex technicalissues and supporting implementations. Analyze complex business/systemproblems, evaluate solutions, and select enhancements to improve new andexisting processes. Challenge legacy processes and clearly articulatethe value and outcomes of improvements.Training & enablement Design anddeliver training for Executive Benefits software/NGIS and the ExecutiveBenefits Seminar; teach at NM schools and seminars (e.g., BusinessMarkets School, Advanced Sales Presentation School). Coach and mentordepartment staff, service areas, and Field partners to elevatetechnical, product, and sales capabilities.Crossfunctional partnership &leadership Act as a resource and consultant to other Home Officedepartments on sales and service of nonqualified/qualified plans andcorporate/bank market life insurance.
