Position Overview This is an onsite position at our campus in Chandler, Arizona. This Project Controls Engineer (PCE) position is part of the Project Controls Group (PCG) organization supporting the Ocotillo Foundry Construction Sourcing (FCS) projects. The PCE is an integral member of a project team that also includes members from the Construction, Procurement, Engineering and Intel Customer organizations. The PCE is responsible for all cost/estimating/schedule controls for the project to help ensure the project is delivered on time and at the best cost to Intel. This role is one of the few opportunities where Cost Engineers and/or Cost Estimators can both develop and perfect project management skills working with the project team, finance and customer operations personnel as well as external suppliers. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: u2022 Cost reporting including commits approval and tracking at the detailed WBS level u2022 Lead monthly project forecast development, funding requests and reporting u2022 Enforcing project controls incorporating the schedule, productivity, Earned Value u2022 Leads the estimate development u2022 Driving process improvements u2022 Presenting financial updates to project/senior management with confidence u2022 Influencing cost reduction cash savings opportunities using financial analysis skills u2022 Leading and consolidating project Close and POR (Financial Plan of Record) submissions u2022 Drives cost reduction strategies and interfaces with local levels of management, customer finance and capital finance u2022 Ensures compliance with reporting standards, local and corporate policies and the integrity of external and internal reporting u2022 Provides varying levels of advice and cost information to operational business groups or factories to drive the business decision-making process u2022 Supports business by closing the books, analyzing variances and trends, and developing project forecasts that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization u2022 Provides information and counsel in the areas of controls/risk management, claims mitigation, budgeting and planning, pricing, cost, marketing strategies, return on investment decisions, and the development of overall business plans and strategies u2022 Interprets information for and negotiates with clients and customers both internal and external to the organization u2022 Provides input to management including department heads, operational managers, other departments, and senior management What We're Looking For In addition to the qualifications a successful candidate will demonstrate: u2022 Develop and model complex financials and make recommendations u2022 Work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment u2022 Detail oriented mindset and comfort with complexity u2022 Strong Communication skills, to communicate trends and insights to project and senior management u2022 Champion and value the safety culture of caring throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
