Location: Syracuse, NY Category: Adjunct Faculty Posted On: Thu Jan 9 2025 Job Description: The Applied Engineering Technology Department at Onondaga Community College seeks Automotive Technology adjunct instructors for daytime and evening teaching assignments, beginning with the spring 2025 semester and beyond. Courses are typically offered Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am to 10:00pm, with possible Friday and/or Saturday daytime offerings if enrollment demand warrants. Need varies by semester but we envision openings for instructors qualified to teach the following courses: + ATC 103 Automotive Fundamentals + ATC 104 Automotive Braking Systems + ATC 115 Automotive Electricity and Electronics + ATC 116 Automotive Electrical Systems + ATC 141 Engine Concepts + ATC 142 Automotive Fuel and Ignition Systems + ATC 190 Cooperative Education I + ATC 202 Automotive Suspension and Steering Systems + ATC 203 Manual Drivelines and Geartrains + ATC 204 Automatic Drivelines and Geartrains + ATC 205 Automotive Transmissions & Drivelines + ATC 223 Hybrid, Electric, and Alternative Fuel Vehicles + ATC 243 Advanced Engine Performance + ATC 251 Automotive Restoration Practices I + ATC 252 Automotive Restoration Practices II + ATC 253 Automotive Restoration Practices III + ATC 254 Automotive Restoration Practices IV + ATC 271 Automotive Climate Control Systems + ATC 281 Automotive Service Management + ATC 290 Cooperative Education II Job Requirements: + Master's degree in Automotive Technology (or a closely-related field), with at least 3 years of related experience. + Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology (or closely-related field) with industry-recognized certifications, with at least 3 years of related experience. + Associate Degree in Automotive Technology and industry-recognized certifications, with at least 10 years of industry-related experience. + Automotive industry experience, industry-recognized training, and industry-recognized certifications, with at least 20 years of industry-related experience.
