Set Up Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the LeadManufacturing Supervisor, the Set-Up Technician is responsible for usingtools & overhead cranes to complete mold changes, rehangs, as well aspull molds for repairs and conversions. The Set-Up Techs will makefollow all set-up procedures and make sure they leave the area neat,clean and organized. This will be achieved by maintainingHellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting allcorporate policies, procedures, work instructions and requireddocumentation. Essential Functions Proper installation and watering ofall molds on all presses. Housekeeping; including return of unusedsupplies and auxiliary equipment to appropriate locations. Removal ofall parts from previous job(s). Proper tying up of water lines so thatthey do not rub/burst. Proper shutdown of machines, including using thecorrect purge compound Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton'scertifications by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, workinstructions, and required documentation. Other Functions Be active inpresenting problems/potential problems to the Supervisor. Other dutiesas assigned. Success in this role will require Working knowledge of moldset up. Ability to assist in training employees. Ability to communicateeffectively with all support departments. Have a thorough understandingof the effects of water flow on the molds. Thorough knowledge ofproduction procedures and work instructions. Thorough knowledge of theoperation of all auxiliary equipment. Ability to read water maps, watertools, properly purge machines & operate forklifts What You'll BringHigh school diploma or equivalency, required. Mechanical aptitude andexperience with hand tools required. Ability to read and understanddiagrams. Demonstrated time management skills. Ability to followdetailed instructions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Basic computer skills. Excellent mechanical skills. Must be able to liftand push up to 75 lbs. Must be able to pull up to 120 lbs. Must be ableto stand, walk, and work for up to 12-hour shifts. Regular attendanceand the ability to work overtime / weekends as needed is a requirementof the job.
