Bombardieru2019s Benefits Program With our employeesu2019 well-being top of mind, we offer a comprehensive and competitive Benefits Program, which includes the following: + Insurance plans _(Dental, medical, life insurance, disability, and more)_ + Competitive base salary + Retirement savings plan + Employee Assistance Program + Tele Health Program What are your contributions to the team? u2022 Manage a team of Design Engineers. u2022 Participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees. u2022 Establish employeeu2019s yearly objectives, evaluate the employeeu2019s performance, and make salary and career progression recommendations. u2022 Ensure a good, positive and healthy working environment for the employees (communication, recognition, coaching, and career development plans/opportunities). u2022 Ensure adequate engineering resources are allocated to the tasks to support aircraft development and support production and in-service issue resolution for Bombardier Defense aircraft. u2022 Manage and resolve priority conflicts within own department and with internal customers. u2022 Be accountable for your groupu2019s performance u2013 deliver on-time, within budget and with quality to support the business objectives. u2022 Participate in the organization of departmental governance. u2022 Provide visibility on the execution, issues and escalations, as needed, to your Manager/Director. u2022 Participate in budget preparation and have accountability for managing financial resource. u2022 Identify cost reduction opportunities. u2022 Identify training required to support to the business needs. u2022 Develop or adapt tools and processes as needed by the function in order to meet our organizational objectives. u2022 Manage the Structures Supplier(s) and establish weekly technical coordination meetings to meet program commitments. u2022 Understands customer requirements and support preparation of formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. structural analysis reports, specifications, etc.) How to thrive in this role? + You hold a Bachelor of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree. + Per US ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) Requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder). + You should have an understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures + You have 10+ years in the aerospace industry with good understanding of the design process (concept, PDR, CDR, etc.) as well as applicable regulations. + You have 2-3 years positive management experience with direct reports. + You are a team player, working in a multidisciplinary team and can demonstrate strong organizational and managerial skills (planning structure and prioritization). + You are creative in finding ways to resolve problems. + You have knowledge of Change Management and Configuration Management. + You are organized/self-motivated with strong verbal/written skills. + You have experience with both development and sustaining programs.
