JOB REQUIREMENTS: As a Load Planner for America's Logistics, LLC, youwill be instrumental in streamlining all aspects of the freighttransportation process for our drivers and partner carriers. In thisjob, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all the freight fromAmerican Foods Group, LLC processing facilities are covered byAmerica's Service Line, LLC and partner carriers. As a Load Planner,you will: Assume responsibility for load planning, optimization, andscheduling of all loads, focusing on all plant & cold storage facilitiesloads. Be a pivotal link between our Transportation Supervisor andDriver Managers, utilizing carriers to cover all freight for AmericanFoods Group and reporting all inbound equipment to the proper areaplanner. Respond to customer and operational needs by answering e-mails,phone calls, tracking shipments, and moving shipments. Prepare reportsfor internal distribution. Provide load exception investigation andreporting. Utilize customer or consignee website for appointments.Coordinate with driver managers to ensure on-time delivery by estimatingtimes of arrival and delivery and recovering loads when necessary.Provide coverage for other team members when out of office. Maintainworking relationships with customers and co-workers to facilitate thefunctions of transportation. Ensure maximum utilization of all outsidecarriers. Identify and onboard new carriers based on compliancerequirements when business requires. NOTE: this description is notintended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required):Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work in the UnitedStates without sponsorship. High school diploma or GED. Must haveexcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with theability to interface with all levels of internal and external staff.Strong geographical knowledge of the United States. Proficiency withMicrosoft Office and related tools. Must have working knowledge of FMCSAregulations. Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary education.Experience with other applications including transportation managementsystems (Lean Logistics, McLeod, and Samsara). 2-3 years experience inLoad Planning. Professional email and phone etiquette. Ability to applycommon sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten or oral form. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Stronganalytical organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability tomultitask. Ability to perform as an effective team member. EqualOpportunity Employer.
