Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. -- u2022 Assemble, align, and fit complex mechanical, electromechanical, and other spacecraft components such as hinges, actuators, deployment systems, linkage assemblies, etc. u2022 Follow detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing work instructions. u2022 Perform inu2011process inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with stringent cleanliness, configurationu2011control, and aerospace quality standards. u2022 Utilize specialized hand and power tools (drill presses, pin presses, torque wrenches, durometers, multimeters, etc.) and maintain tool calibration records. u2022 Troubleshoot hardware anomalies u2022 Work within cleanroom environments, adhering to strict contaminationu2011control procedures and wearing appropriate cleanroom garments. u2022 Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, material resource planners, and quality assurance personnel to resolve issues. Basic Qualifications: u2022 A strong desire to learn and develop basic skills within the technician job scope, with the ability to demonstrate learning agility and pass both written and hands-on certification requirements. u2022 A basic understanding and ability to read engineering and installation drawings, including the ability to interpret and apply information from these drawings. u2022 Understanding and safe use of hand tools u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. u2022 Must be able to work flexible shifts, provide after-hours support, and work overtime as required to meet production demands. u2022 Ability to use and understand calibrated hand tools and equipment u2022 Ability to work in a clean environment that involves wearing smocks and gloves for extended periods of time, including working at flow benches to assemble very precise mechanisms. u2022 Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods of time - Ability to lift and move equipment and tools as needed - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions - Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as smocks, gloves, and safety glasses as required. u2022 Ability to pass written and hands-on certification requirements for technician role Desired Skills: u2022 Proven experience with performing assembling mechanisms in a quality-controlled environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards. u2022 Proficiency in interpreting and working with engineering drawings, schematics, and manufacturing work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient assembly processes. u2022 Possession of a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License, demonstrating expertise in aircraft inspections and repair. u2022 Familiarity with light manual machining techniques, with the ability to create shop aids and tools to support build efforts, is highly desirable. u2022 Experience with electrical harness assembly, requires high manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in interpreting schematics to cut, strip, crimp, and route wires. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $49,400 - $86,940. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
