Title: Loss Prevention, Safety, and Health Supervisor - 3pm-11:30pm, M-F Category: Loss Prevention & Asset Protection EmploymentType: Full-Time Location: NV-Reno LocationType: dist_center JobLocation: Reno, Nevada 89521 JobSummary: This role is responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance with Company policies and practices related to all areas of Loss Prevention and Safety, including but not limited to physical security, inventory control, investigations, and safety programs, as well as overseeing onsite security guard services. Salary Range: $55,000-$65,00 annually (+ $5,000 shift differential) WhatYouDo: u2022 Implement basic physical security guidelines within the assigned facility u2022 Demonstrate expert knowledge and proficiency in the execution and support of environmental health and safety requirements u2022 Utilize and monitor CCTV camera system to identify, investigate, and resolve incidents of theft; maintain physical security, and guide and drive the Company safety program u2022 Monitor all physical security controls for the assigned facility, including, but not limited to, key/core control, card access systems, and alarm systems u2022 Maintain EAS and ensure security personnel are properly trained u2022 Oversee 3rd party security guard services to ensure staff are deployed effectively, scheduled efficiently, and perform assigned job functions u2022 Implement safety programs to minimize employee accidents and incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards u2022 Review accidents and incidents, conduct investigations, and provide follow-up reporting as well as monitor execution of corrective actions u2022 Conduct regular audits related to all operational and safety practices and procedures u2022 Champion safety practices and programs to strengthen cultural awareness among the entire Distribution Center workforce through meetings, regular communications, and Bookseller training u2022 Support Internal Audit and Inventory Control/Logistics by auditing unit accuracy and shortage trends to ensure accuracy of store deliveries u2022 Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) reports to identify theft, inventory errors, or discrepancies u2022 Communicate shipping errors regularly to the Distribution Team and Corporate Loss Prevention u2022 Problem-solve and correct loss prevention issues as they occur u2022 Develop and maintain a close working relationship with local law enforcement, fire authorities, and city personnel to remain updated on crime trends and emergency preparedness procedures u2022 Perform special projects and other work assignments as directed by the Director of Loss Prevention & Safety Knowledge&Experience: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in a related field preferred u2022 3 years of practical Loss Prevention experience in a distribution center environment or 5 years of practical Loss Prevention experience in a related industry/field Position Requirements: u2022 Proven leadership navigating in a multi-level team environment u2022 Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills u2022 Self-motivated u2022 Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u2022 Strong time management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects u2022 Proven ability to work with minimal direct supervision u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) u2022 Must be able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time u2022 Practical experience working with CCTV, alarm, and access control systems EeoStatement: Barnes & Noble is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
