We are looking for a talented Data Governance & Information Architect to build foundational data structures and establish business ownership across global data domains. We are a leading global medical technology and life sciences innovator dedicated to developing advanced healthcare solutions. Location: Hybrid onsite in Durham, NC or Memphis, TN (2-3 days per month) Terms: Contract-to-Hire Rate: $60 - $65/hr Not eligible for visa sponsorship or C2C Job Duties: + Establish business ownership and stewardship across data domains with a focus on business partner data. + Lead the creation of business glossaries, master data standards, and formal approval workflows. + Implement comprehensive data policies covering access, quality, change management, and retention. + Define access governance rules and roles in partnership with security and compliance teams. + Structure distinct data types for patient, physician, and healthcare categories into logical models. + Map data lifecycles across applications to clarify systems of record and downstream consumption. + Define data quality rules and remediation processes while setting business acceptance criteria. + Manage program timelines and stakeholder forums to drive accountability and business decisions. + Create governance artifacts including RACI matrices, process maps, and communication plans. + Align governance frameworks with SAP Business Partner processes to prepare for future MDM implementation. Ideal Background: + 8+ years of experience in data governance, information architecture, or master data management. + Proven experience establishing governance frameworks prior to MDM platform implementation. + Strong program management skills with the ability to push the business to meet strict timelines. + Hands-on experience drafting data policies, definitions, and workflow processes. + Familiarity with SAP Business Partner Master Data or SAP MDG planning and rollouts. + Experience in medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services). + Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA/DMBOK and metadata tools. + Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear conceptual data models and contracts. + Experience working in environments subject to audit readiness, such as SOX or GxP. + Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or a related field.
