Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.Responsibilities The Oklahoma Clinical Informatics team supports 7 Ascension St. John hospitals and the patient care that is provided. We spend our days supporting current technology workflows, identifying technology problems, determining how to optimize technology, participating in national or local patient care initiatives that need technology workflows and helping clinicians adopt technology. Responsibilities:Establish and maintain relationships with clinical leaders, associates and physicians.Learn the technology workflows being used.Facilitate the optimization of existing technology or implementation of new technologyHelp clinicians “probe the problem” and submit successful requestsFacilitate or participate in governance committeesRecruit clinicians for national and local work groupsPropose changes to technology designPartner with technology analysts to implement new technology or optimize existingPromote the adoption of technology workflows to optimize patient safety and experienceDesign and deliver training materials to educate users about technologies.Participate in the development of organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing and communicating clinical information.Support the onboarding of new associates, providers and locations.Ensure information systems policies, procedures and technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations.Work Schedule:Routine schedule: Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00AM CST to 5:00PM CST (flexibility in arranging start/stop times with direct supervisor based on associate and department needs).Locations: Typically spend 3 or more days scheduled on site at one of our hospitals.Occasional weekend, evenings or nights required to support technology implementations and adoption efforts for clinicians. These are planned in advance as a team.Remote on-call schedule required to support having someone available for outages and urgent clinical support.Skills:Can establish trust and build strong relationships with clinicians, leadership and partnersAble to communicate with various levels of users within the organization -Can probe the problem using analysis and active listeningAbility to assess a person's workflow or process and replicateAbility to document clearly and concisely for communications and workflowsWilling and able to learn new EHR and technology applications and workflowsAbility to identify and document a problem that displays the importance and relevance for the health system Requirements Education:High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences Bachelor's degree preferred3 years of experience in a clinical related environment preferredChange management experience preferredProject management or process improvement experience preferredEstablished foundation using an EHR and related technologiesThe team would benefit from an individual who has had imaging, nursing or clinical experience in a departmental support role that exposes the individual to the bigger health system processes, someone who has facilitated meetings or workgroups or has worked through a process improvement effort or policy development. Also looking for an individual with experience in Oracle Cerner design and enhancements. Informatics type experience is preferred.
