This is your next big move. What You’ll Be Doing As a Nextech HVAC/R Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality service to commercial clients. From troubleshooting to repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance — you’re the expert our customers trust.Here’s what your day could look like:Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic componentsPerform maintenance and emergency service as needed, including after-hours on-call rotationsAccurately document all service details using company-provided iPadsMaintain your company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standardsCommunicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and service deliveryIdentify additional service opportunities and share them with customers What Makes Nextech Different? What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technicianEPA certification and a valid driver’s licenseStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret schematics and work plansBasic comfort with mobile apps and technologyA strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to qualityWillingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed Physical Requirements This is a physically active role. You should be able to:Must be able to safely work at heights using ladders up to 28-32 feet and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limitsMust be able to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment, including extension ladders, up to 100 lbsMust be able to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasksMust maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activityMust be able to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the dayMust use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuouslyMust operate work-related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computersMust be able to travel to customer sites as neededRequired to occasionally work in an office environmentRequired to follow all applicable safety proceduresReasonable accommodations may be provided under the ADA for qualified individuals if essential job functions can still be safely performed Join our Talent Community!
