Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Temecula, California. This role involves supporting various accounting functions within the construction industry, requiring a keen attention to detail and familiarity with Sage 300 software. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. u2022 Post deposits and manage journal entries with precision and timeliness. u2022 Process invoices, issue checks, and handle accounts payable tasks. u2022 Assist with property tax payments and tenant billing management. u2022 Support the filing of Form 3522 and ensure timely submissions. u2022 Reconcile financial statements and provide light reporting as needed. u2022 Maintain organized records for accounts payable and related documents. u2022 Provide administrative assistance for project management activities. u2022 Monitor promissory notes and entity agreements to ensure compliance. u2022 Utilize Sage 300 software for construction accounting tasks and reporting. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. u2022 Proficiency in Sage 300 software is essential. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Demonstrated experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with residential construction accounting practices. u2022 Ability to manage financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
