This role supports digital engineering transformation by enabling model-driven workflows, architecture alignment, systems visualization, and data integration across the enterprise.The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in MBSE tools and methods, digital engineering frameworks, enterprise architecture, and the ability to apply these within the BMC3I Elite environment. This individual partners with engineering teams, program managers, IT stakeholders, and enterprise architects to deliver scalable digital solutions that streamline lifecycle processes and improve decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Systems Architect, SME will:Design and implement MBSE-driven architectures, workflows, and models to support enterprise digital engineering initiativesIntegrate MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody) with BMC3I Elite/Helix for synchronized life cycle and configuration managementDevelop system models, digital threads, and integration patterns that enhance traceability across requirements, design, testing, and sustainmentConfigure and optimize BMC3I Elite modules to support digital engineering, data flow automation, and architecture visualizationCreate dashboards, model-driven workflows, and decision-support tools within the BMC platformSupport enhancements, customizations, and integrations that improve MBSE adoption and usabilityAlign MBSE architectures with life cycle processes, including requirements, risk, configuration, testing, and verificationEnsure digital engineering outputs integrate with program management, acquisition, and ITSM workflowsFacilitate model governance, version control, and data consistency across engineering teamsWork with program managers, system engineers, solution architects, and leadership to translate digital engineering needs into actionable technical solutionsSupport architectural reviews, technical analyses, and enterprise-level integration forumsProvide subject matter expertise on MBSE standards, digital threads, and emerging engineering technologiesRecommend strategies to modernize engineering practices through automation, analytics, and advanced modeling capabilitiesIdentify opportunities to improve data accuracy, speed, and process efficiency through MBSE and BMC3I Elite capabilitiesDevelop and maintain technical documentation, modeling standards, and architecture guidelines Skills & ExperienceThe Systems Architect, SME must have:Active TS/SCI with SAP Access15+ years in systems engineering, digital engineering, solutions architecture, or MBSE rolesHands-on experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Sparx EA)Strong understanding of digital engineering frameworks, SysML, UML, DoDAF/MODAF, or UAFExperience integrating MBSE solutions with BMC3I Elite, BMC Helix, or similar enterprise platformsKnowledge of life cycle systems engineering processes, requirements management, and digital thread conceptsProficiency in workflow automation, data modeling, system integration, and architecture visualizationExperience designing enterprise-level digital solutions and integrating multiple technical systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex models into actionable insightsExcellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiencesDemonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, and program management teamsEducation & CertificationsThe Systems Architect, SME must meet the following:RequiredBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fieldPreferredMaster’s degree in Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Digital EngineeringINCOSE ASEP/CSEP/ESEPSysML or MBSE Practitioner Certification (e.g., OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional)DAU Digital Engineering or Systems Engineering credentialsITIL v4 FoundationBMC Elite/BMC Helix certification or trainingSAFe Agilist or Architect CertificationBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOPaid Parental LeaveTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidaysSecurity ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen.
