Director of Sales & Events The Marriott San Antonio Airport is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Director of Sales and Events to lead our sales, marketing, and event operations. This is a hands-on leadership role with both selling responsibility and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a passionate, results-driven Sales Director with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Sales & Marketing Leadership u2022Develop, maintain, and implement strategies to drive revenue across all market segments. u2022Actively solicit and manage key accounts to generate business. u2022Oversee and maintain hotel website, advertising, and marketing initiatives. u2022Assist in Food & Beverage/Catering revenue growth through strategic promotions. u2022Build hotel visibility through community involvement, industry associations, and trade shows. u2022Lead, motivate, and support sales and catering team members to exceed targets. u2022Prepare and execute annual marketing, promotions, and advertising plans. u2022Ensure compliance with administrative procedures, reporting, and budgeting. Operational & Financial Accountability u2022Meet or exceed revenue goals for guest rooms and events. u2022Negotiate group and event contracts within established guidelines. u2022Monitor market competition, pricing strategies, and service standards. u2022Coordinate with internal departments to deliver seamless guest experiences. u2022Oversee hiring, training, coaching, and evaluations of Sales & Catering staff. u2022Monitor departmental expenses and payroll within budgetary guidelines. u20222+ yearsu2019 experience as a Senior Sales Manager or Director of Sales at a full- service property (300+ rooms, 10,000+ sq. ft. meeting space). u2022Marriott CI/TY experience preferred. u2022Upscale hotel experience preferred. u2022Bacheloru2019s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred. u2022Previous experience in the San Antonio market a plus. u2022Strong organizational, financial, communication, and leadership skills.
