Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Job Description We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage skilled craftspeople, apprentices, and laborers in the repair and maintenance activities. You will be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities during your shift, troubleshooting equipment issues, and directing safety programs. Responsibilities + Coach, supervise, and train skilled craftspeople, apprentices, and laborers. + Assume accountability for maintenance activities during respective shifts. + Perform frontline troubleshooting activities on equipment. + Direct safety awareness programs and maintain housekeeping standards. + Plan and provide resources for maintenance, preventative maintenance, and capital work. + Perform root cause analysis and use '5-why' techniques to reduce downtime. + Partner with the Engineering Department to improve equipment reliability. + Develop and manage maintenance work procedures and standard practices. + Drive continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and enhance safety. + Assist other Maintenance Supervisors as needed. + Manage labor issues effectively within the work area. + Perform administrative tasks to manage the workforce. + Communicate with upper-level management and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and hourly employees. Essential Skills + 3+ years of Maintenance Supervision experience. + 1+ years of leadership in a Union Manufacturing facility. + Experience in Industrial trades such as Electrician, Millwright, or Industrial Maintenance Technician. + High School Diploma or GED is required. Work Environment The role involves overseeing union employees, roughly 5-10, with overlapping shifts. Work in an environment with forging lines, large presses, heat treat equipment, and furnaces. The position requires 20% office work and 80% on the floor, with initial training on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift.
