Lab Technician

Our client, an industry leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the quality assurance and control department supporting laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Lab Technician Location: On-site at Channahon, Illinois Pay Range: 25-30/hr ROTATING 12 HOUR SWING SHIFT What's the Job? + Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis and wet chemistry on product and in-process samples to support plant operations. + Support laboratory supervisors and chemists by preparing samples and ensuring accurate data collection and record-keeping. + Calibrate and maintain laboratory test equipment to ensure precision and reliability. + Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance and control issues effectively. + Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, adhering to standard operating procedures. What's Needed? + Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering. + Proficiency in computer applications and laboratory software. + Preferable experience in quality control systems within a manufacturing or processing environment. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work in a rotating 12-hour swing shift schedule on-site.
