Nurse Manager - Medical Nursing Pulmonary Unit (4S) - Full Time Days + Department: Medical Nursing Pulmonary Unit (4S) + Schedule: Full Time Days + Hospital: Henry Ford Health Genesys + Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan General Summary: u00b7 Administrative accountability for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of patient care. u00b7 Manages and collaborates relationships with leadership members, physicians, for the care of responsible patient populations. u00b7 Assures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality care to patients. u00b7 Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services. u00b7 Assumes responsibility for fiscal management of the unit. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: u00b7 Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in nursing, Business, Health Management or another related field preferred. u00b7 ANCC recognized nursing specialty certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting required. u00b7 Demonstration of progressive nursing leadership in roles for example Charge Nurse, Assistant Clinical Manager, House Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Unit Leader and Chairperson of a Shared Governance Council/Committee or interdisciplinary team (not limited to these examples). u00b7 Knowledge of quality management and service excellence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills that provide coaching and facilitation expertise. Excellent problem-solving skills. u00b7 Demonstrates innovative, creative leadership style. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: u00b7 Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. BCLS/ACLS certification as required per unit standards. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: u00b7 Working conditions are variable with exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards. u00b7 Driving may be required dependent on specialty. u00b7 Frequent walking, bending, and lifting may be required to perform duties. ADDITIONAL SKILLS: u00b7 Strong leader with good organizational skills, able to work independently in busy environment. u00b7 24/7 accountability for unit.
