Details + Department: Post Cardiac Surgery + Schedule: Part Time/Night Shift + Hospital: Saint Thomas West + Location: 4220 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN Post open heart surgical unit with a 1:4 ratio and 23 beds. Providing care of post op CABGs and mid-CABGs. Management of chest tubes and external pacemakers. Our nurses receive support by their team, taking a collaborative approach in patient care through multidisciplinary rounding. Management encourages additional training to advance in their nursing career. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. + Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): + Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition
